Enzymatic Lipolysis (Non-Surgical Localized Slimming)

Enzymatic lipolysis is one of the injection-based medical aesthetic treatments aimed at reducing localized fat deposits without the need for surgical intervention.

Procedure Duration :

20 - 30 min

What is Enzymatic Lipolysis?

Enzymatic lipolysis is a non-surgical procedure that targets localized fat deposits. In this method, special enzymes and active substances that target fat cells are injected directly into the fat tissue, initiating a controlled fat breakdown process.

Enzymatic lipolysis is not a weight loss treatment; it is designed to reshape the body contour, reduce localized fat, and create a smoother silhouette.

How Is the Procedure Done?

Before the procedure, the target area is assessed and marked. In necessary cases, a local anesthetic cream is applied. The enzymatic lipolysis solution is then applied to the fat tissue in the form of microinjections using fine needles.

The procedure duration varies depending on the treatment area but typically takes between 20–30 minutes.

The enzymatic and lipolytic agents used in the procedure break down the cell membranes of fat cells, causing the triglycerides inside the cells to be released. The disrupted fat cells are permanently affected, and their capacity to store fat again is reduced.

The released fatty acids and glycerol are gradually removed from the body through natural metabolic processes and lymphatic circulation. This process creates a gradual slimming and tightening effect over the course of weeks.

Enzymatic lipolysis is suitable for individuals who are close to their ideal weight but have resistant fat in certain areas despite diet and exercise. The best aesthetic and homogeneous results are achieved in individuals with good skin elasticity.

It is not sufficient on its own for individuals with significant weight issues and should be planned in conjunction with supportive treatments.

Enzymatic lipolysis is not suitable for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with active infections, severe liver disease, clotting disorders, or skin conditions in the treatment area. Additionally, patients with a history of allergies to the ingredients should undergo a detailed evaluation before treatment.

The main advantages of enzymatic lipolysis are that it does not require surgery, can be applied quickly, and allows for a fast return to daily activities. By targeting fat tissue locally and in a controlled manner, it provides a natural improvement in body contour.

Enzymatic lipolysis is typically applied in 2–4 sessions. Sessions are planned 2–4 weeks apart. The first slimming effects are usually noticeable within 2–3 weeks, and the results gradually become more pronounced over time.

The results obtained can vary depending on the patient’s lifestyle, eating habits, and metabolic structure.

After the procedure, mild to moderate swelling, sensitivity, redness, and occasionally bruising may occur in the treated area. These effects typically subside within a few days.

In the first few days, drinking plenty of water, light walking, and lymphatic drainage-supporting treatments can help accelerate the fat elimination process. It is recommended to avoid heavy exercise, sauna, and overly hot environments during the first 24 hours.
