Venous Evaluation with Color Doppler Ultrasound
Procedure Duration :
Microphlebectomy is a minimally invasive and effective surgical method used in the treatment of superficial and prominent varicose veins.
Procedure Duration :
30 - 60 min

Microphlebectomy is a varicose vein treatment method based on the removal of varicose veins through very small skin incisions (1–2 mm) using specialized surgical instruments. The procedure typically does not require stitches and provides cosmetically successful results.
Before treatment, the venous structure is evaluated with Color Doppler Ultrasonography. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Varicose veins are removed through small entry points made on the skin. The duration of the procedure generally ranges between 30–60 minutes, depending on the extent of the varicose veins.
After the procedure, short-term use of bandaging and/or compression stockings is recommended. Patients can usually walk on the same day and return to normal activities within a few days. Follow-up examinations are performed using Doppler ultrasound.
Microphlebectomy may not be suitable for every patient with varicose veins. Eligibility for treatment is determined after a detailed physician examination and Doppler ultrasound evaluation.
